Here is an example of how I created an impactful and relevant thought leadership piece, in partnership with my colleague, Chris McGirr.
When the pandemic first hit, it blindsided everyone. We were all navigating a whole new territory on a global scale.
My community of independent consultants, coaches and small business owners were paralyzed. They didn’t know what to do – contracts were being cancelled, and spending was frozen. The corporate clients they served were scrambling, having to face and deal with unprecedented challenges as the world locked down. And as the pandemic unfolded it became evident that we were in it for the long haul.
That’s what inspired Chris and I to go to corporate leaders on a big scale to get a sense of what was to come and how to help our clients to come to terms with what was unfolding in the corporate marketplace and how they could ‘pivot’ and adapt.
To that end, we developed an insights report called Corporate Predictions 2021: The must-have guide for consultants and small business owners to get in the door and meet the needs of corporate clients in our shifting marketplace
We interviewed over 60 executives and thought leaders on how the corporate marketplace was struggling to adapt in the wake of the pandemic and how they saw the corporate landscape unfolding. Their insights helped us shape our perspective on the burning issues and trends and the report we generated was a huge success and distributed it far and wide.
