How self-care supports your business

man walking by the oceanDiligent self-care is vital to being a successful entrepreneur.

Think about it. Whether you’re prospecting by email or phone, in an in-person meeting, or working on site with your clients, you need to be focused and have sustained energy to see you through.

Clients will pick up on your energy lags – yes, even if it’s over the phone!

Working on your business is a very cerebral activity. But you also need to work on taking care of yourself so you can be at your best.

I highly recommend this podcast by Michael Hyatt on 10 critical tips that can help business owners balance work and life.

Michael is the former CEO of Thomas Nelson Publishers, is a best-selling author, and is hugely popular, so you can imagine, he’s had to carve out his own self-care regime!

The podcast is hosted by Michele Cushatt, an amazing speaker and author who is a 3-time cancer survivor (she actually had to learn to speak again during her cancer journey, which is why her diction sounds different).

This podcast isn’t just about a list of To Dos. Both Michael and Michele talk about what they do and the challenges/successes they’ve had with self-care.

Give it a listen or watch. It’s worth the time and effort!
